About Fox

Fox is a Pittsburgh-based writer currently hard at work on her first novel, a YA paranormal love story called Death & Biology. When not spending time with her protagonist Bridget, Fox writes for 101 Achievements, a lifestyle blog that she runs with her husband, and handles the typing and spelling for her pup Lucy over at The Mischievous Adventures of a Little Red Dog. She’s also the Municipal Liasion for the Pittsburgh chapter of National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), and helps maintain the Pittsburgh Bloggers database.

Fox was born on the feast of St. Francis of Assisi, and as such, has always had a deep connection to animals, even when humans are trying her patience. Her loves: good wine, soccer shorts, the hills of San Luis Obispo, extreme weather, blackout curtains, and a certain river named the Charles. She has the heart of a gypsy and a long string of past lives spent on the backs of horses.

She started SteelCityFox as a place to document the process of writing, editing, searching for an agent, and (hopefully) eventually publishing. She also writes about life as a blogger, and the process of writing in general (which is why you get to hear all about every Red Hot Chili Peppers song that inspires her). In the fall, she blogs about the trials and tribulations of being a NaNoWriMo ML.

  1. Hi,

I contacted you during this past NANO. I was establishing contact for an eventual move from Washington, (the state) to PA. Now that things have settled down and decisions have been made, I wanted to touch base again and check on writer’s groups and critique groups in the area. Our projected move date is mid-July and we have decided to settle in the Zelienople area. If you have any leads or can put me in touch with someone who can help I would appreciate it. I have discovered that having those groups has been an essential ingredient for my writing career.

I hope to hear from you soon.

    Thank you

    Christina Weigand

    • Hi there Chirstina! I remember chatting with you via NaNoMail! I’ll send you an email in a few minutes with the info that I have. And an early-welcome to the ‘Burgh! :)
